Three junior class members of the East High D.E.C.A. chapter (pictured below) are
currently working on their joint civic and public relations projects.
Their projects involve promoting and collecting funds for
93 Cents for Flight 93.
This organization, jointly sponsored by the Flight 93 National Memorial Campaign and
the Akron-based
HALO Foundation,
seeks to raise awareness and funds for the Flight 93 Memorial to be built
near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The Flight 93 National Memorial is the nation's
tribute to the 40 passengers and crew members aboard United Flight 93 who lost their
lives on September 11, 2001.
